The sword and steed were gifts from the original Valkyrie, Brunnhilde, who got the sword from Doctor Strange and the horse from its creator, the Black Knight.

NOTES: Valkyrie is one of those few characters that has been more then one person. She started out as only a disguise for Enchantress to use in the first Lady Liberators. She then used it on Samatha Parrington to fight the Hulk. She lost the powers and her memories of the event (she would later regain them as the current Valkyrie). However it was later discovered that Enchantress was using the soul of Brunhilde, the leader of the Valkyries. After being freed, she retook her role as the head Valkyrie and gave her Blessing to Samatha and they both exist in the Marvel Universe as the Valkyrie.
