Powers; Miguel's hybrid human/spider physiology gives him a wide array of powers. He has the proportionate strength and agility of a spider, which allows him to lift 10 times his own body weight, and jump distances of up to 30 feet. His speed and reflexes are also enhanced to superhuman levels. Spinnerets in his forearms enable him to fire organic spider-webbing from the top of his wrists.
Retractable talons in his fingertips and toes enable him to climb walls or cut enemies. His teeth are venomous, and can paralyze anyone he bites. He has enhanced hearing, and can see in the dark, or long distances. The muscles controlling the movement of his eyes are accelerated, which enables him to clearly see fast moving objects without any motion blur. His web cape acts as an air foil, and allows him to glide on air currents for a short period of time.

NOTES: The first of what was to be a whole universe of characters, in this world the goverments are gone and it is rule by companies. Spider-man of the 2099 universe is Miguel O Hara, a half Irish and Mexican scientist working for one of the ruling companies. He was researching human enhancements in particularly of the orginial Spider-man. He was on his way to a breakthrugh but refused to use human experiments. He wanted to quit.

NOTES: His boss wasn't having none of it and decided that he would force him to use his company for his experiments by getting him addicted to a drug that the company supplies. Not wanting to be dependant on the drug, he decided to use the experiment on himself. However during the percedure and jealous employee tried to killed him but instead turned him into the new Spider-man.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Spider-man 2099 #1
NOTES: After killing the employee in a fit of rage, Miguel escape the lab after security tried to capture him. He went to his apartment but didn't know that the county had hired Bounty to caoture. After discovering this and fearing that they would find out who he was, Miguel donned a old halloween outfit and attack Bounty before he arrived at the apartment. Thus he became the new Spider-man of the year 2099.
