NOTES: Sandman in the movies was a escaped prisoner who fell into a experiment that transformed him into the Sandman. Early in the film we see that he is a father of a very sick girl and that he was the one who shot Uncle Ben, accidently. He fought and beated Spider-man the first time they fought but after Spider-man got the black suit, he washed away.

NOTES: After that he was tracked down by Eddie Brock, who now had the black suit and became Venom. Using Marko's daughter as a way to get Sandman to help him, they kidnapped Mary Jane and fought Spider-man. However after Venom was defeated, Sandman apoligised to Spidey saying that Ben tried to help him that night. He then flew off.
