NOTES: Groot was one of the many monsters created before the F4 came into being. He was originally testing on humans but was defeated by It, the Living Colossus. It was beleived that he was later brought back to fight the Hulk, along with many old monster, but that was retcon into being a fake. He later returned to Earth to fight the Phalanx and Ultron but was killed. Rocket Racoon kept a branh belonging to him that allowed Groot to be regrown.
