First move was to buy part of the Bugle and then trick Spidey into attacking him on camera and finally frame him for murder. All the while making the public believe he was the innocent one. While doing this he had a clone roaming around in his update GG costume.

Spidey finally captured GG and sent him to prison wearing this get-up where upon GG set up a new plan to kidnap Aunt May and force Spidey and Black Cat to break him out of prison only to betray them with the Sinister Twelve and get beaten up by a crazed Doc Ock (oh the irony). Still Spidey greatest foe though.
