NOTES: This is Bucky as he first appeared waaaaay back in the 1940's. Before Marvel became, well, Marvel, Bucky "died" trying to stop a drone plane but it exploded. It is only recently that he came back as the Winter Soldier (a highly wanted figure by the way) and took over as Captain America after Steve Rogers' death.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Captain America Vol 5 #1

NOTES: For the longest time, Bucky was one of the few character in comic to remain dead. That all changed when Ed Brubaker took over Captain America in volume 5. He brought back Bucky and the Winter Soldier. He had survive the plane crash but was rescue by the USSR. He was then revived and given a new mechanical arm. He was then brainwashed into becoming an assasin for the USSR, keeping frozen until they needed him.
