The Avengers - 2010's

2010's is only after starting. But for the must part the Avengers are back to normal more or less. Osborn has been defeated and Steve Rogers is now in charge of SHIELD. He then make up three Avengers teams, Mighty, New and the Secret Avengers. and assigns a liason for each team. He also invites international heroes like Captain Britain, to represent them.

Maria HillMaria Hill

Joined In: Avengers V4 #1

Notes: Hill as once the director of SHIELD, after Nick Fury's Secret Wars. He wasn't exactly friendly with the team, even treatening Spider-man during the Collective Arc. After the Civil War, she suggested Iron Man take over Shield. She remain a loyal member of Shield under Stark but was fired after Osborn took over. She then went on the run with Stark and started a brief romance with Stark. After Steve Rogers took over Shield, She was assigned to the main (Mighty) Avengers team as their Laison.

ValkyrieValkyrie

Joined In: Secret Avengers #1

Notes: Valkyrie wasn't what you would call an Avengers associate. In fact I don't recall many stories where is was involved with them. She team up with them or fought them when she a member of the Defenders. The only story I can think of her actually helping the team was when Luke Cage was caught by Norman Osborn during the Dark Reign. She acting as the destraction so that the New Avengers could rescue him. After Dark Reign, Steve Rogers added her to his Secret Avengers team.

NovaNova (Richard Rider)

Joined In: Secret Avengers #1

Notes: Nova has been a assoiate of the Avengers for a while, particulaly when he was a member of the New Warriors, when we was then called Kid Nova. He help the Avengers a number of time like when he helped them fight the Examplars. After the Annihilation saga he returned to Earth and helped fight the Skrull Invasion. After Siege, he joins the Secret Avengers, however left when he became possess by the Serpent Crown during the first story arc. He later was presumed killed in the Thanos Initiative.

Ant-manAnt-man (Eric O'Grady)

Joined In: Secret Avengers #1

Notes: Eric O'Grady, former SHIELD agent, is the third person to wear the Ant-man persona. Unlike Pym and Lang, he used the power for his own use like sneaking into Ms Marvel Bathroom to see her naked. He eventually joined the Initiative and fought in the Secret Invasion. He was then out on the Thunderbolt team where he fought Deadpool. After the Siege, he was offered a place on The Secret Avengers, where he hopes to redeem himself.

Sharon CarterSharon Carter

Joined In: Secret Avengers #1

Notes: Sharon Carter is, for all extant and purposes, the love of Steve Rogers life. She was even pregnant with his child. Cause of this she has a long friend with the Avengers. However, at the end of the Civil War, she was brainwashed into shotting Cap. She was later capture by the Red Skull and lost her baby trying to escape. She was later instrumental in returning Steve Rogers back to life. After the Siege, she was made an actual member and the laison to the Secret Avengers.

Captain BritainCaptain Britain

Joined In: Age Of Heroes #1

Notes: Captain Britain almost has no connection to the Avengers, except for major crossovers and such like the Secret Invasion. He is great friends with Dane Whitman (Black Knight) as well as Union Jack and Spitfire. He had a few team up with Captain America and a few other solo heroes like the memorable team-up with Spider-man (which introduced him to the us public). It wasn't until after the Siege, when Steve Rogers called a international hero conference, that he was ask to be the British rep for the Avengers. Against the MI6 protest, he accepts.

Red HulkRed Hulk

Joined In: Avengers V 4 #7

Notes: Red Hulk is a alternate persona of......wait for it...........General Ross. That right the person trying to kill the Hulk for years. Like the Hulk, Rulk does like his human form. In fact he was convinced that he killed Ross and was told to do so by the Hulk. He is quiet intelligent and has worked with AIM and other terrorist groups. However he later helped stop a plot for a LMD of Gleen Talbot to become the president and tried to take it over himself but was twarted by the Hulk (with Banners intelligence). In prison, Banner convince Steve Rogers to allow him to join the Avengers. However, it wasn't until he helped the Avengers defeat a Power Gem powered Hood that he was welcomed into the team.

DaredevilDaredevil

Joined In: New Avengers vol. 2 #16

Notes: Daredevil has been associated with the Avengers for a long while. Back when he was living in San Fransico and dating Black Widow, he was attacked by Hawkeye and then helped the Avenger in a mission. He was then offered a place on the team but turned it down. He was also one of the many heroes that arrived at the Avengers mansion during the Disassemble arc. After Shadowland, he was asked to join the New Avengers which he is now a member of.

StormStorm

Joined In: Avengers Vol. 4 #19

Notes: Storm hasn't really been associated with the Avengers. (She is a member of the younger Marvel Adventures Avengers). As many already know she is mainly a X-men character, even with her husband, Black Panther, being a main member of the Avengers. Looking to replenish the ranks of the Avengers, Captain America approached the Black Panther, who declined Steve's offer to return to the team, but recommended Storm for membership. Calling Storm to Avengers' Mansion, which was swarming with the media and public supporters of the heroes, Captain America asked Storm to join the team.
